The D.C. area is still hunkered down while a massive blizzard makes it’s way through the region, but at the National Zoo one resident was making the most of his snow day.

The zoo posted video online showing giant panda Tian Tian rolling around in a snow bank and tossing pawfuls of the fluffy stuff up in the air

“Tian Tian woke up this morning to a lot of snow, and he was pretty excited about it,” zoo officials wrote in a Twitter post sharing the video.

Tian Tian is the father of two of the zoo’s panda cubs, 2-year-old Bao Bao and 5-month-old Bei Bei.

Bao Bao seems to have inherited her father’s love of snow. In 2015, the zoo shared video of the cub’s first snow day that featured her somersaulting down a snowbank.

Bei Bei, on the other hand, has been more timid in his snow exploration.

After Wednesday’s light dusting of snow, zookeepers took him outside to for a few minutes but according to zoo officials “he wasn’t quite sure what to make of the powdery snow.”
