Caitlyn Jenner, a transgender woman who is also an avowed Republican, said GOP primary front-runner Donald Trump would be a “very good” president with regard to women’s issues.

Ms. Jenner said Mr. Trump will have a hard time winning over women voters because of his “macho attitude” but said that doesn’t necessarily mean he would be bad for women if elected.

“I think he would have a hard time with women when he doesn’t even realize it, and it doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be good for women’s issues,” Ms. Jenner said in a clip from her reality TV show “I am Cait” set to air on Sunday. “I think he would be very good for women’s issues.”

“I don’t think he’s out there to destroy women or take things away or do any of that kind of staff,” she said matter-of-factly, drawing shocked responses from her posse. The former Olympic gold medalist also said she would vote for Mr. Trump over Democratic primary front-runner Hillary Clinton.

“Oh my God yes, I would never, ever, ever vote for Hillary. We’re done, if Hillary becomes president, the country is over,” Ms. Jenner said, adding that the former first lady is a “[expletive] liar” and a “political hack.”

Ms. Jenner previously floated the idea of serving as the ambassador to the transgender community in the administration of Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, should he become president.
