DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Police say two people were shot while driving on a busy Des Moines street.

Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Parizek told The Des Moines Register (https://dmreg.co/2e9vWNF ) the shooting happened just after 1 a.m. Tuesday on Merle Hay Road.

A passenger in a vehicle fired at another vehicle, striking one person in the foot and another in the buttocks. Both were treated at a hospital.

Parizek says the shooting apparently stemmed from a dispute at a party. Officers have identified a suspect but haven’t made any arrests.
