YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - Yakima County prosecutors are filing second-degree murder charges against a man accused of fatally shooting a Tieton missionary student.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (https://bit.ly/2eXv8wM ) that Saul Llamas Rios is also being charged with drive-by shooting and three assault counts for firing into a car carrying 20-year-old Trae Oyler, who was killed.

Rios was in Superior Court Monday for a preliminary appearance on fugitive warrants out of Butte County, Calif. He’s wanted there on assault and theft charges.

Judge Richard Bartheld ordered Rios held on $80,000 bail — on top of the $1 million he set last week for the homicide.

Witnesses said Oyler was in a car with three other people when another vehicle pulled up and fired several shots into car.
