BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont man has been accused of possessing nearly 500 bags of heroin and two guns in his home.

Bennington police tell WPTZ-TV (https://bit.ly/2f9op3s) they responded to a house Monday for a report of a possible domestic disturbance. The later arrested John Petteys Jr. after finding the drugs and guns. Police said he gave them a false name.

They said as part of his conditions for release on a previous crime, Petteys was forbidden to have a deadly weapon.

Police also arrested his girlfriend, Alyssa Labeau, on a drug possession charge.

It wasn’t immediately known if they had lawyers, and phone numbers couldn’t be found for them.
