NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Police in New Haven are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man seen on surveillance tapes near a convenience store where the owner was shot and killed last month.

Police say 21-year-old Muhanad Jawad, of New Haven, was working at his shop on Oct. 18 when he was shot and killed by a gunman. They say they do not believe robbery was the motive.

Detectives investigating the homicide are seeking to identify a man they say was seen on surveillance photos. Police aren’t calling the man a suspect, but say they want to speak with him regarding the shooting.
