Hotel heiress Paris Hilton is done playing coy about her support for Republican Donald Trump now that he will be the 45th President of the United States.

Entertainment websites have hounded Ms. Hilton for months on her decision to support either Democrat Hillary Clinton or the billionaire she has known since she was a child. Her response to the inquiries, at least until Thursday, has been to withhold an answer.

“I think on TV people like to say things about certain people, but he’s actually a very sweet person. I like him a lot,” the socialite told Entertainment Weekly Sept. 14 before stopping short of a full endorsement. “My mom always told me not to talk about money or politics.”

Ms. Hilton reiterated her reluctance to talk politics during a street interview with TMZ on Nov. 8, but finally acquiesced while in Australia.

“I’ve known him since [I was] a little girl — so, yes,” Ms. Hilton told an Australian television host on Thursday while promoting her new fragrance “Gold Rush,” Variety reported.
