CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Two men have been sentenced to life in prison for their roles in separate killings in North Carolina.

The Charlotte Observer reported (https://bit.ly/2e03iDm) to two men sentenced Tuesday are members of the MS-13 gang.

The two are among three dozen gang members named in a federal indictment involving racketeering conspiracy, weapons violations, murder and attempted murder. Twenty-one of the gang members were sentenced earlier.

U.S. District Judge Robert Conrad Jr. sentenced 22-year-old Miguel Zelaya of Charlotte after his conviction earlier this year in the shooting death of a rival gang member.

Thirty-seven-year-old Luis Ordonez-Vega of Concord was sentenced for his conviction last year in the death of a man who was a member of a different clique of the MS-13 gang from New York.
