AVONDALE, Colo. (AP) - Los Suenos Farms in southern Colorado isn’t just any farm. It’s believed to be America’s largest legal open air marijuana farm, and the fall is harvest time.

During the harvest, the farm is expected to yield 5 to 6 tons. Once gathered from the fields, the plants are taken to a drying barn. Farmworkers also remove stems and leaves from the plants.

The harvest occurs at a time when marijuana is coming back into the spotlight in the city and county of Pueblo, where Avondale is located. If two ballot measures are approved on Nov. 8, they could impact growers like Los Suenos.

Here is a visual glimpse into the harvest at the farm.
