LAS VEGAS (AP) - A California woman has died after being hit by a semitrailer on a highway southwest of Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2fy5wYl ) that police say the 25-year-old woman from Redlands, California was in traffic on Interstate 15 late Sunday when she was struck. The coroner’s office has ruled her death a suicide.

No further details about the crash near the Nevada-California border have been released.

Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel says the semitrailer has not yet been located.

A section of the highway was closed off for several hours after the crash, as unrelated road construction blocked many alternative routes.
