CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - It should be a fun weekend in one of the nation’s fastest-growing areas - the South Carolina coast. According to the Census Bureau, three of the nation’s 20 fastest-growing areas are on the coast - the Beaufort area, Charleston and Myrtle Beach.

And there’s an array of events up and down the coast this weekend.

Among others, The Beaufort Shrimp Festival is being held at the Waterfront Park in Beaufort while the 45th Annual Gopher Hill Festival is being held in nearby Ridgeland.

The MOJA Arts Festival, celebrating African-American and Caribbean Arts, is underway in Charleston and continues through Oct. 9.

In the Myrtle Beach area, the 7th annual Myrtle Beach Wine Fest is being held while Brookgreen Gardens holds its Harvest Home Festival and Conway stages its fall festival.
