CLEVELAND (AP) - In a story Oct. 1, The Associated Press reported that a judge said a medical examiner’s report shouldn’t be considered in the investigation of the death of a woman who collapsed after struggling with Cleveland police officers during a mental health crisis. The story should have made clear that judge’s order bars the use of the cause of death and the medical examiner’s verdict as listed on the first page but that he concluded other elements of the report can be used in the inquiry.
