GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) - Scottish police say a man has died after a bus crashed while taking Rangers fans to the home game against Partick Thistle on Saturday.

The 39-year-old man was not named. Police said 18 more people are being treated in a hospital, with three described as being in a serious condition.

Police say 36 people, plus the driver, were on board the bus which crashed near Kilmarnock, about 30 minutes south of Ibrox stadium in Glasgow.

Rangers assistant manager Davie Weir said after his team’s 2-0 win: “I’m sure the club will be very supportive in regards to anything they can do to help the situation.”

John Linton, a photographer who was at the scene, said it appeared the coach either skidded into the verge or caught the camber of the roundabout and been left on its side.

Linton says, “There were smashed windows and an emergency door at the back was broken.”
