TURPIN, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 17-year-old Turpin girl has been killed in a single-vehicle crash in the Oklahoma Panhandle.

An OHP report says the girl was a passenger in a vehicle that was eastbound on a Beaver County road near Turpin when the driver swerved to miss a deer in the roadway and the vehicle rolled 2½ times.

The report says the girl was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. She was taken to a hospital in Liberal Kansas where she was pronounced dead.

Her name was not released.

The report says the driver was treated and released at a hospital.
