NORTH NEWTON, Kan. (AP) - Bethel College President Perry White says he will resign at the end of the current school year.

White told the campus about his decision in a message distributed Tuesday. He did not give a reason for leaving after seven years at the college in North Newton.

White said he will work with the board and others to prepare for the transition to a new president.

He became Bethel’s 14th president in July 2010.

The Hutchinson News reports (https://bit.ly/2ehiRGc ) several campus construction projects were completed during White’s presidency, including the opening of the James A. Will Family Academic Center and renovations and improvements to several buildings.
