WALTHAM, Mass. (AP) - Police in Waltham have identified a pedestrian who was struck and killed by an SUV.

Police said Wednesday that 65-year-old Gregory Dwyer, of Watertown, was pronounced dead at a hospital after being hit by a Lexus SUV. The accident happened shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday in the vicinity of a large office park.

A second pedestrian who was injured in the accident, a 70-year-old man, was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police say the driver of the SUV wasn’t injured and remained at the scene. No charges have been filed, and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office says it is an open and active investigation.
