GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - A golf course owned by the University of North Dakota is closing for good this fall.

The university says the Ray Richards Golf Course will shut down Nov. 1. The move comes after the school decided to cancel its request for proposals to outsource the operation of the golf course.

UND in a statement says it currently does not have specific plans for the land.

The school’s golf teams do not use the golf course.
