INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A historically black university in Tennessee has agreed to offer transfer opportunities for eligible Ivy Tech Community College students in Indiana.

Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, made the announcement Thursday. Fisk will guarantee admission to Ivy Tech students who meet certain criteria, such as a 2.5 GPA. Fisk also will waive application fees. Ivy Tech students will be admitted as upper-division students at Fisk as long as they have grades of C or better in course requirements.

Ivy Tech President Sue Ellspermann and five Ivy Tech students will visit Fisk on Monday for a campus tour and to participate in the official agreement signing.

Ivy Tech is the largest singly accredited statewide community college system in the U.S.
