GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Authorities have found the body of a Greensboro woman who has been missing since June following a domestic dispute with her boyfriend.

Greensboro police said in a news release an autopsy by the N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that a body found Oct. 13 in Forsyth County off U.S. Route 421 is Cree Asia Smith.

Smith was last seen June 16 and was reported missing July 12. Her boyfriend, 25-year-old Desmond L. Pendergrass was charged last month with first-degree murder in connection with Smith’s disappearance.

Investigators say the two were involved in a domestic dispute right before she went missing.

It is unclear whether Pendergrass has an attorney.
