HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a Hoover drug store employee admitted to orchestrating an armed robbery in which another employee was wounded by shrapnel from a shotgun.

News outlets report that 27-year-old Jamese J. Gregory was arrested Monday as she arrived for work at a CVS pharmacy. Hoover police Capt. Gregg Rector says Gregory admitted to being inside a nearby getaway vehicle early Sunday while the crime was being carried out.

Police are still searching for the gunman who they say held an employee at gunpoint and demanded cash. The clerk grabbed the shotgun, which led to the gun firing into the floor. The suspect fled the scene and the victim was treated for minor leg injuries.

Gregory is charged with first-degree robbery. It is unclear whether she has an attorney.
