KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Kansas City police say two men have died in weekend shootings.

Police officers responded to a call late Saturday to the Westport Entertainment District and found a man who had been shot. The Kansas City Fire Department took the victim to a hospital, where he died. The man’s name hasn’t been released.

Police also say another man found shot early Sunday has died from his injuries. Police detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.

The Kansas City Star reports (https://j.mp/2eybfhc) Kansas City has recorded 95 homicides so far this year. The entire metropolitan area has seen 155 homicides in 2016.
