TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police say a woman retaliating against a man who she had fought with is accused of fatally shooting him.

Sgt. Pete Dugan says police responded to a shooting around 1 a.m. Sunday.

Officers arriving at 7th Avenue and Lincoln Street found 38-year-old Israel Dominguez Alfaro shot and wounded.

He later died at a hospital.

Dugan says detectives determined that Alfaro had gotten into a physical altercation with 29-year-old Alice Puente.

Investigators say Puente and several men riding in an SUV found Alfaro walking with his brother several hours later.

According to Duente, all the suspects exited the car and one was holding a baseball bat.

A fight followed and a shot was fired.

Dugan says investigators located Puente and arrested her for first-degree murder and kidnapping.
