OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Oakland police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting that left seven people injured.

The East Bay Times reports (https://bit.ly/2egzS1w ) that officers escaped injury Sunday morning when someone fired several shots at police when they responded to reports of the shooting. None of the officers returned fire. One person was detained in connection to the shots fired at police.

All seven people injured were treated at a local hospital. One was listed as in critical condition as of Sunday.
