BEAVER, Pa. (AP) - A western Pennsylvania man has been convicted of third-degree murder in the death of a woman whose body was found in an abandoned shed on an old steel mill property more than a dozen years ago.
The Beaver County Times (https://bit.ly/2dGEbQS ) reports that jurors deliberated for more than five hours Monday before convicting 44-year-old Jarrod Bullie of Beaver Falls in the death of 35-year-old Robin Sue Miller.
Her body was found in November 2003 on the former Moltrup Steel property. Authorities said she had been hit in the head with a large rock.
Bullie, who wept after the verdict, denied having known the victim. His attorney suggested another man was responsible.
Prosecutors cited DNA evidence and testimony that Bullie was wearing Miller’s coat and expressed remorse after her death.
