WICHITA FALLS, Texas (AP) - Police say a North Texas man has been charged with capital murder in a double slaying this month in Wichita Falls.

Dallam-Hartley County Jail records show 23-year-old Jermar Jamie Fuller of Wichita Falls was being held Tuesday on $4 million bond. No attorney was listed to speak for Fuller, who faces return to Wichita Falls.

Police say William Samuel Rankin and David Wayne Phillips were found shot to death Oct. 10 in Rankin’s home. Investigators haven’t released a possible motive.

Wichita Falls police days later learned that Fuller on Oct. 10 led a trooper on a Texas Panhandle chase, about 300 miles away, while allegedly speeding. Fuller’s car crashed.

Officers seized two handguns from Fuller. Ballistic tests determined shell casings at the slaying scene came from one of the guns.
