NEW YORK (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a 68-year-old woman who was found unconscious in the basement of her home on Staten Island.
Police say the woman, identified as Daisie Bradshaw, had bruises and lacerations about her body.
She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after police were called to her home just after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The medical examiner is to determine the exact cause of death.
