PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A former Philadelphia-area volunteer firefighter has been sentenced to 28 years in federal prison on child pornography convictions.

The Delaware County Daily Times (https://bit.ly/2eRma3t ) reports that 21-year-old John Corcoran IV of Glenolden was sentenced Oct. 14 in federal court in Philadelphia. He pleaded guilty in July to 20 counts of using or inducing a child to pose for child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Corcoran is also facing 223 counts in state court including child rape, indecent assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

Prosecutors in Delaware County allege that the former Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 member lured children with toys and money and molested more than a dozen at his home, at a YMCA locker room and at bonfires outside a historical site.
