LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old man is hospitalized in extremely critical condition after he fired at Lake Havasu City police officers serving a search warrant during a drug investigation and then was shot by police.

The Kingman Police Department is investigating the incident, which occurred in a Lake Havasu City home early Wednesday morning.

A Kingman Police Department statement says 21-year-old Charlie Gonzalez was shot multiple times by at least two officers after he confronted the uniformed SWAT team, raised a handgun and fired once at the officers.
