NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Police in New Orleans are investigating after a 21-year-old woman was shot to death while sitting in a vehicle with four other people, including a 2-year-old child.

News outlets report police say Kyrisha Armstrong died from injuries sustained in Tuesday’s shooting.

Authorities say Armstrong, her boyfriend, his brother, an unknown man and the child were in the vehicle when someone opened fire on them. Armstrong was shot in the back and taken to a hospital, where she died. No one else was hurt.

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/2fi7RJw) Armstrong’s boyfriend, 19-year-old Marion Moses and his brother were arrested on obstruction of justice charges after they were accused of offering police contradictory statements of the shooting and tossing away guns they used to return fire.

It’s unclear if they have attorneys.
