PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police are investigating after someone opened fire in a parking lot, killing one person and injuring two others.

Sgt. Jonathan Howard says the shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of 47th Avenue and McDowell Road.

Officers were called to the parking lot of a business and found three victims who were hit by gunfire.

One victim was a 36-year-old man who died at the scene.

The other two, a 55-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have no information about a possible suspect or motive.

Howard says investigators will be at the scene throughout the day and there will be traffic restrictions in the area for several hours.
