GASTONIA, N.C. (AP) - Gastonia police are looking for a suspect in a hit-and-run in which a woman was struck and killed as she walked on a local street.

Local media outlets report police said 44-year-old Wanda Sue Hearn died at the scene after she was hit at about 9:45 p.m. Friday.

According to police, evidence at the scene showed the SUV might be a 2007-2012 GMC Acadia which has front passenger-side damage.
