CAMDEN, Del. (AP) - A 5-year-old boy has died nearly two weeks after he was hospitalized following a car crash west of Camden.

Delaware State Police say in a statement that on the evening of Sept. 19, 53-year-old driver Mark T. Long lost control of his vehicle, which flipped and ejected both Long and his son Matthew J. Long from the vehicle. Both were hospitalized.

Matthew Long died of his injuries Friday.

Police say neither Mark Long nor his son was wearing a seatbelt.

Authorities say speed was a factor in the crash. No charges had been filed as of Sunday.
