ELKO, Nev. (AP) - Authorities are identifying a father and son from Yerington who were killed when the utility vehicle they were in crashed head-on into a truck hauling a trailer on a rural road in northeastern Nevada.

Elko County Undersheriff Ron Supp tells the Elko Daily Free Press (https://bit.ly/2dql5R3 ) that 63-year-old Frank Booth and 35-year-old Charles Booth were pronounced dead at the scene of the Thursday afternoon crash near Stag Mountain.

The driver of the Ford F-250, Justin Knight, wasn’t injured.

Sheriff’s investigators say the pickup, hauling a trailer and four cows, and the Polaris UTV crested a hill simultaneously and crashed in the center of Deeth Road.

Supp says alcohol didn’t appear to have been a factor in the crash, and the side-by-side UTV was legally registered for road travel.
