PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a fight that escalated to an assault and a shooting outside a northeast Philadelphia bar claimed the life of one man and injured two others, one critically.

Authorities said the gunfire was reported just after 4 a.m. Sunday outside the Candelas bar Restaurant in Olney.

A 25-year-old shot in the chest was pronounced dead less than a half-hour later at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Another 25-year-old man shot in the abdomen was in critical condition at the hospital. A third victim taken by private vehicle to Temple Medical Center was in stable condition with injuries from an assault outside the bar. No arrests have been reported.

Police were also investigating the death of a 40-year-old man shot in a car in north Philadelphia shortly after 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
