GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Authorities in Grand Junction said Sunday they have arrested a homicide suspect wanted in Utah.
James Main Jr., 34, was arrested after crashing during a police chase on Sunday, Grand Junction police spokeswoman Heidi Davidson said. Main was not seriously injured, Davidson said.
Main is being held on a homicide warrant out of Utah, Davidson said. Court records did not indicate whether Main has an attorney.
An alert for Main was sent out after the body of a 56-year-old man was discovered at a home during the investigation of Main’s alleged abduction of two men at gunpoint Friday night, Duchesne County Sheriff’s Lt. Jeremy Curry said.
According to victims, Main forced them into a vehicle and took them to a home.
Authorities say the victims and another person got into an altercation and Main fired a shot before fleeing in a car.
