VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. (AP) - Three teenagers have been accused of robbing two women at a Birmingham-area hotel and leading police on a high-speed pursuit where one of the suspects fired at an officer.

Vestavia Hills Capt. Kevin York tells media outlets that the suspects robbed the two victims at gunpoint at a Red Roof Inn on Friday evening and drove off. He says the suspects led police on a chase through Homewood, Birmingham and Midfield, where they crashed on a highway.

Nineteen-year-old Christopher Leshore, of Brighton, is charged with attempted murder and robbery. Eighteen-year-olds Samarjay Leshore, of Brighton, and Lauren Abernathy, of Hoover, are both charged with two counts of first-degree robbery. It’s unclear whether they have an attorney.

Leshore is also charged in a fatal August shooting at a Brighton park.
