ALABASTER, Ala. (AP) - Alabaster police say a convenience store clerk died during a robbery.
Police Chief Curtis Rigney tells The Birmingham News (https://bit.ly/2dUGg0t) the slaying happened sometime between 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Kirkland Chevron.
Rigney says a customer made the discovery.
Police have not released the name of the clerk, or how the clerk was killed.
Rigney says the slaying is the first homicide in Alabaster in six years.
