COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Police have identified two people who were fatally shot at a home in Ohio’s capital over the weekend.

Columbus officers responding to the reported shooting found 43-year-old Nicole Caudill and 53-year-old Timothy Carney in a basement early Sunday. Both died at the scene.

A suspect, 48-year-old John Henry, of Clarksburg, was arrested in Fayette County and charged with murder. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he has an attorney.

Police say Henry had been linked romantically with Caudill and that the two had a dispute leading up to the shooting. Police say Carney apparently wasn’t an intended target in the shooting.

Police Sgt. Jeff Strayer says several other people were in the home when the shooting occurred.
