SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of the Syracuse man who died over the weekend after being shot.

Syracuse police say officers responded around 4:54 a.m. Saturday to reports of gunfire on McKinley Street on the city’s south side. When officers arrived they found a 35-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. They also found a 26-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg.

The man was pronounced dead a short time later by paramedics. Police later identified him as 35-year-old Iric Green.

The woman is recovering.

Police say they have no suspects as their investigation continues.
