PORT CLYDE, Maine (AP) - Authorities in Maine are investigating the third sinking of a lobsterman’s boat in two months.

The Maine Marine Patrol says the boat belongs to Anthony Hooper of Tenants Harbor. The most recent sinking of Hooper’s boat happened sometime between the evening of Sept. 30 and the morning of Oct. 1.

The first sinking took place in mid-August and the second between the evening of Sept. 28 and the morning of Sept. 29. The boat had just been raised and repaired when the third sinking happened.

Each sinking incident took place in Port Clyde, where the boat is moored. The 35-foot boat has been raised again by Hooper and is again being repaired.
