YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A southeastern Michigan man has been charged after a hidden camera was discovered in a portable toilet outside an Ypsilanti Township business.

The Ann Arbor News reports (https://bit.ly/2dqDuhl ) Tuesday that 45-year-old James Mazor was arraigned Saturday in Washtenaw County District Court on charges of installing or using a device for eavesdropping and surveilling an unclothed person.

Authorities found an image on the camera of the person who they believe placed it in the toilet. The camera was found nearly a year ago. No one else was photographed.

Mazor is from Royal Oak. A probable cause conference is scheduled on Oct. 11, followed by an Oct. 18 preliminary examination.

Defense attorney Michael Vincent says Mazor has no prior criminal history and was preparing to speak with police when he was arrested.
