President Obama and former President George W. Bush appear alongside stars of the Broadway musical “Hamilton” in a new video urging Americans to vote on Nov. 8.

“If you can vote, there’s nothing more important than to vote,” “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda says in the video. “Lots of people lived and died so that you can do that.”

“Our future depends upon you casting a ballot,” Mr. Bush says.

“If you’re inspired by ‘Hamilton,’ if you’re inspired by our founders, understand that the system of government they designed only works if you participate,” Mr. Obama adds.

The video also features former first lady Laura Bush, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, House Speaker Paul Ryan, former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon and Questlove.

The video closes by directing viewers to register to vote at www.vote.usa.gov.
