Posters reading “Snitches End Up In Ditches” have been plastered on telephone poles in Louisville, Kentucky, upsetting the father of a local rapper whose killer has not yet been apprehended, the city’s Courier-Journal newspaper reported Wednesday.
Donnie “McFly” Mattingly, 36, was shot to death in June 2015, a day before his twins’ 6th birthday celebration, but no one has been charged with his murder more than a year later, according to the Courier-Journal.
His still-grieving father said he is infuriated by the poster campaign, especially since he believes someone saw or knows something that could help identify his son’s killer.
“It’s not snitching when you tell that someone is killing someone,” Donald Mattingly Sr. told the Courier-Journal. “If someone in your family gets hurt or killed you’d want to know who did it.”
The individual responsible for the “Snitches” poster, Montrell Muhammed, could not be reached for comment, the Courier-Journal reported.
