PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Officials say the executive director of Philadelphia’s parking agency has been suspended amid accusations that he sexually harassed two co-workers.
Philadelphia Parking Authority Board Chairman Joseph Ashdale had said Tuesday morning that Vincent Fenerty Jr. would keep his job after a sexual harassment case was made public last week.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports (https://bit.ly/2cKh1Mf ) Ashdale announced hours later that Fenerty had been suspended after Ashdale said he learned of a second sexual harassment case that spanned several years in the early 2000s.
Ashdale says that complaint wasn’t used in their decision to allow Fenerty to retain his position because it wasn’t lodged with their human resources department.
Ashdale says he’ll suggest on Thursday that Fenerty be fired.
Fenerty says in a text message there are “two sides to every story.”
