McKINNEY, Texas (AP) - A judge has sentenced a Dallas-area man to life in prison for the 2014 abduction of a woman who remains missing.

Enrique Arochi (uh-ROH’-chee) was sentenced Friday in McKinney.

A Collin County jury on Sept. 21 convicted Arochi of aggravated kidnapping in the disappearance of Christina Morris. Arochi opted to have a judge, not the jury, decide his punishment.

Prosecutors say Arochi was the last person seen with Morris in August 2014. Surveillance video showed them walking into a Plano parking garage after a night of drinking with mutual friends.

Her parents later reported Morris was missing. Investigators say DNA from Morris was found in Arochi’s vehicle amid the search for her.
