Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 6 points in Nevada, according to a Suffolk University poll released Friday that showed Mr. Trump losing some ground in the state compared to last month.

Mrs. Clinton led Mr. Trump by 6 points, 44 percent to 38 percent, according to the survey of likely voters conducted Tuesday through Thursday. A Suffolk poll conducted in mid-August had Mrs. Clinton with a narrower 2-point, 44 percent to 42 percent, edge over Mr. Trump.

“Hillary Clinton’s strong debate performance resonated with women in Nevada,” said David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center in Boston. “There was a corresponding increase in Donald Trump’s unfavorable rating, and fewer voters see him as honest and trustworthy.”

Among those who watched Monday’s presidential debate, 57 percent said Mrs. Clinton won, 23 percent said Mr. Trump won, and 12 percent said it was a draw.

Mrs. Clinton led Mr. Trump by 15 points among women, compared to a 5-point lead among women in the August poll.

Mr. Trump’s unfavorable rating also ticked up to 59 percent, compared to 55 percent in August, and 61 percent said he is not honest and trustworthy, compared to 52 percent in August.

Mrs. Clinton had a 45 percent/50 percent favorable/unfavorable split in the new poll, with 58 percent saying she is not honest and trustworthy.

“The only reasonably good news for Donald Trump is that Clinton’s 44 percent number never moved in the head-to-head matchup,” Mr. Paleologos said. “Trump’s number dropped from 42 percent in August to 38 percent today, but he lost many of his voters to Gary Johnson, not Clinton.”

Mr. Johnson, the Libertarian Party presidential nominee, was at 7 percent in the new poll, compared to 5 percent in August.
