WEST BUECHEL, Ky. (AP) - A Kentucky county coroner says a three-month-old baby boy died from being smothered.
According to The Courier-Journal (https://cjky.it/2nqQ4zk ), the Jefferson County Coroner’s office revealed how Lucas Paez Cruz died Thursday at a West Buechel home.
Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell said West Buechel police responded Thursday to a report of an infant “unconscious and not breathing.”
Mitchell says Louisville police are assisting West Buechel police because they have a more experienced investigative unit.
Mitchell says no one is in custody while detectives investigate to see exactly what happened.
