NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut have released the name of the woman found shot to death last week even as they continue to search for the suspect.
New Britain police say 33-year-old Yasheeka Miles was found dead in the bedroom of her home with a gunshot wound to the head late Friday night.
Police quickly identified 36-year-old Patrick Miles as a suspect, and determined he had left the scene with the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Paisley, sparking an Amber Alert.
The child was located with relatives in New York City at about 4 a.m. Saturday. Police say Patrick Miles dropped off the child and then left.
The suspect remains at large. His is considered armed and dangerous and could be driving a gray, late 1990s model Chevrolet Malibu.
