BARTOW, Fla. (AP) - One of four men accused in a central Florida crime spree that left two women dead has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The Ledger reported Tuesday that 25-year-old Devonere McCune has pleaded guilty to armed robbery and several other charges. Prosecutors agreed to drop two counts of first-degree murder in exchange for his testimony against three other men: 37-year-old Michael Gordon, 31-year-old Jovan Lamb and 32-year-old Terrell Williams.

Authorities say the four men robbed an Auburndale pawn shop in January 2015. McCune was arrested following a shootout with police in nearby Haines City. The other three fled on foot.

Following a 911 call, deputies responded to a nearby home and found the bodies of 72-year-old Patricia Moran, and her daughter, 51-year-old Deborah Royal.

Authorities say the three remaining suspects were arrested after trying to flee in the victims’ car.
