Blazers forward Moe Harkless is $500,000 richer.

All he had to do was not shoot a 3-pointer in his last four games.

Harkless had a bonus incentive in his contract that paid an additional $500,000 if he finished the season shooting above 35 percent from 3-point land. Heading into Wednesday’s regulars season finale against the New Orleans Pelicans, Harkless was at 35.1 percent from 3 — meaning any miss would drop him below the mark.

Talking to reporters pre-game, Harkless was asked if he would attempt a shot from deep.

“Would you?” Harkless said with a smile, according to CSNW’s Jason Quick

In fact, Harkless went the entire four games without attempting a 3-pointer and said he was aware of the bonus for about a month.

Harkless finished the Pelicans game shooting 5 of 6 from the field for 11 points, all inside the line, of course.
